Via Crucis del convento de la Santísima Trinidad

El Vía crucis es una devoción centrada en los Misterios dolorosos de Cristo, que se meditan y contemplan caminando y deteniéndose en las estaciones que, del Pretorio al Calvario, representan los episodios más notables de la Pasión.

 

La difusión del ejercicio del Vía crucis ha estado muy vinculada a la Orden franciscana. Pero no fue San Francisco quien lo instituyó tal como lo conocemos, si bien el Pobrecillo de Asís acentuó y desarrolló grandemente la devoción a la humanidad de Cristo y en particular a los misterios de Belén y del Calvario
 En todo caso, fue la Orden francisana la que, fiel al espíritu de su fundador, propagó esta devoción, tarea en la que destacó especialmente San Leonardo de Porto Maurizio.
El Vía crucis consta de 14 estaciones, cada una de las cuales se fija en un paso o episodio de la Pasión del Señor. A veces se añade una decimaquinta, dedicada a la resurrección de Cristo. En la práctica de este ejercicio piadoso, las estaciones tienen un núcleo central, expresado en un pasaje del Evangelio o tomado de la devota tradición cristiana, que propone a la meditación y contemplación uno de los momentos importantes de la Pasión de Jesús.
Puede seguirle la exposición del acontecimiento propuesto o la predicación sobre el mismo, así como la meditación silenciosa. Ese núcleo central suele ir precedido y seguido de diversas preces y oraciones,. En la práctica comunitaria del Vía crucis, al principio y al final, y mientas se va de una estación a otra, suelen introducirse cantos adecuados.
Estaciones:

• Primera Estación: Jesús es condenado a muerte.
• Segunda Estación: Jesús carga la cruz.
• Tercera Estación: Jesús cae por primera vez.
• Cuarta Estación: Jesús se encuentra con su madre
• Quinta Estación: Jesús es ayudado por el cireneo
• Sexta Estación:La Verónica limpia el rostro de Jesús.
• Séptima Estación: Jesús cae por segunda vez.
• Octava Estación: Jesús consuela a las mujeres de Jerusalén.
• Novena Estación: Jesús cae por tercera vez.
• Décima Estación: Jesús es despojado de sus vestiduras.
• Undécima Estación: Jesús es clavado en la cruz.
• Duodécima Estación: Jesús muere en la cruz.
• Decimotercera Estación: Jesús es bajado de la cruz y puesto en los brazos de su madre
• Decimocuarta Estación: Jesús es sepultado.
• Decimoquinta Estacion: Jesús resucita de entre los muertos.
